2023 C.A.R. Committee Timeline

Each year the C.A.R. Officers seek to put together the best group of California REALTORS® to serve on numerous C.A.R. committees to tackle the issues facing our industry and help direct Association policy. C.A.R. committee members and directors attend three C.A.R. Business Meetings throughout the year as well as conference calls and other meetings in between. Any California REALTOR® is eligible to serve on a C.A.R. Committee; being a C.A.R. Director is not required. Most committee members serve on a one-year term, but certain committees have multiple year terms. 

Friday, May 13, 2022 - deadline to submit Committee Leadership and Specialized/Advisory recommendations (Chair, Vice Chair or Issue Chair of Standing Committees, and Chair, Vice Chair or Members of Special or Advisory Committees)

Friday, July 22, 2022 - deadline to submit all General Membership recommendations for Standing Committees

2023 NAR Committee Timeline

Deadline to Submit Applications: 05/13/2022

In order to be considered for an NAR committee appointment, you must first submit an application. While members can only serve on one committee per year, you are encouraged to apply for up to five different committees that fit your interests and expertise.

Steps for Submitting a Committee Application:

1. Review 2023 Committee Information
   View 2023 committees and their purpose, composition, terms and qualifications to determine where you can offer your experience and talents. You can also view committees by experience level or by area of expertise.
    
2. Update Your Expertise Profile
   Update your Expertise Profile to highlight all of the skills and experiences that make you a good fit to serve on the NAR committees you are applying for.
    
3. Apply
   Complete up to five committee applications. You will be asked to read and agree to the NAR committee appointment policies.
    
4. Request Endorsements (optional)
   You are encouraged to seek up to three endorsements (optional) for each of your committee applications. Endorsements will ONLY be accepted via the system until the committee application deadline (5/13/2022). Any endorsements sent via email or regular mail will not be included with your application.
    

Please note: Current and incoming NAR Leadership Team, appointed and incoming Vice Presidents, and NAR Staff cannot provide committee endorsements.
