In Memoriam: 2024 President, Jeffrey Jackson 1958-2024

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of our President, Jeffrey Jackson.

In March, Jeffrey informed the OCR membership that he was to undergo radiation treatment for the recurrence of cancer he had defeated fifteen years earlier. He expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support and encouragement received at that time and affirmed his determination to conquer this challenge and return even stronger.

When Jeffrey decided to run for the office of President of Orange County REALTORS®, our industry was experiencing significant upheaval with lawsuits, regulatory changes, and market uncertainties. Despite these challenges, Jeffrey approached his candidacy without hesitation. He willingly embraced the opportunity to lead our organization through these turbulent times, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to organized real estate. He wrote down that his goal was "to be the best person I can be as an officer, director, and REALTOR®."

Those who had the privilege of knowing Jeffrey will remember him for his sharp wit, profound respect for the law, passion for jazz music, affection for his Great Dane Niles, and fondness for diet Pepsi.

While Jeffrey made numerous contributions during his tenure at our association, he also served as a director for both the California Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. Jeffrey took pride in his pivotal role in establishing the REALTOR® and Affiliate Wellness Group, known as the RAW Group. This initiative remains a steadfast source of support, offering members a confidential environment to share their struggles, challenges, and personal experiences.

Rest in peace, Jeffrey. Your legacy as our President will endure, and your contributions will not be forgotten.
